What are the effects of a faulty front-wheel bearing on a motorcycle?

　　There are many different types of motorcycle engines. Taking commonly used motorcycle models as an example, there are roughly ten different kinds of bearings in total, including crankshaft bearings, connecting-rod bearings, camshaft bearings, and bearings for each shaft in the transmission. Some models also feature bearings at locations such as valve rocker arms. These bearings come in various types, such as ball bearings and needle roller bearings, depending on the specific model.

　　The motorcycle bearing has seized up. At this point, the bearing has lost its proper function. If you continue to use it forcibly, the following situations may occur:

　　1. Running the outer race directly causes the shaft hole to enlarge. At this point, you’ll not only need to replace the bearing—you’ll also have to replace the wheel hub itself!

　　2. If you run it in the inner circle and the shaft gets worn, the result will be the same—meaning the shaft will also have to be replaced.

　　3. If the bearing retainer breaks or the rollers shatter, yet the vehicle continues to be driven forcefully, an accident is highly likely to occur due to rotational imbalance.
